Dressmaking without Paper Patterns!
Sunday 17th May 2020 POSTPONED

Make a skirt or top from just your measurements with seamstress and dressmaking tutor Anna Vickery – make your choice of a wrap, tulip shape, 50’s style hand pleated or elasticated waist skirt or a kimono style top in a day using just your measurements – no paper pattern required and a perfect fit!

Learn how to draught straight onto cloth and sew waistbands, seams, hems and depending on which garment you choose gathers, pleats, pockets or a concealed zip. Once you’ve mastered this ‘freehand’ cutting technique you’ll be able to go on and make more at home.

Suitable for beginner and progressing dressmakers, please be confident using your sewing machine. Bring your own materials, sewing machine, sewing kit including scissors/pins/tape measure/tailors chalk and lunch (feel free to get in touch with Anna with any questions, you’ll be sent a list of materials required for the garment you choose to make.)

Work at your own pace in a small group, maximum 6 participants.

Date: Sunday 17th May 2020

Time: 10am-5pm

Cost: £75 (payment confirms booking, minimum 4 participants, workshop will be called off 2 weeks before date if minimum numbers are not reached and full refunds given – please bear this in mind when purchasing your materials.)
