Introduction to the ribber– Make a Merino Beanie Hat with Ria Burns
An introduction to using the ribber attachment for Brother domestic knitting machines. Over the course of the day we will learn how to set up the ribber, make swatches with the various ribbed stitches and their use, as well as looking at other effects than can be achieved with double bed knitting.
Using this knowledge, we will then knit a beanie hat, using super soft merino wool in colours of your choosing. This will be sewn up at the end of the day using a linking machine, ready for you to finish and add an optional pom-pom.
A basic knowledge of using knitting machines is required for this workshop. All equipment and yarns are provided. This workshop has a maximum of three participants, ensuring plenty of support for everyone.
