In this one day workshop, experienced patterncutter and seamstress Justine DK will help you make a kimono, step by step, from cutting the fabric to sewing to wearing!
Kimonos are traditionally made of strips of fabric, using all the width of Japanese cloth, which means there is very little waste when cutting – The kimono is unlined, has an under arm opening and long open sleeves.
This kimono has been designed to fit both Japanese width fabrics as well as standard width fabric.
It comes in three lengths, long, medium and short.
There will be a little break for lunch – you can either bring lunch with you or there are cafes/shops nearby.
Tea coffee & biscuits are provided
