The BTQ Website is having a little makeover! There will be dedicated pages to news and events, with a calendar showing upcoming workshops. There will also be a Members page where you can find out all about present and past BTQ members. Following on from our studio photoshoot earlier this year, we also have beautiful new pictures taken by Hatty Frances Bell.
It has felt like a long time since we have shared news! Welcome to friends old and new who follow BTQ… We have been busy behind the scenes over the last few months creating new spaces and building on our membership, exciting times ahead…
We have been running virtual MMM sessions ever since April 2020 and we have been able to reach a community far greater than before and it has been a joy to connect. With that in mind we will continue to run Virtual Meet Make Mend sessions alongside reintroducing in person sessions at Bristol Textile Quarter. Look out for new dates!
Meet Make Mend Thursday 26th May 19.30-21.30 GMT
An informal gathering of slow stitching minds… Bring your mending or slow stitch project and allow yourself the opportunity to repair… Whether you are an experienced mender or a complete novice, you are very welcome. Pay what you can, but we thought between £5-8 would be sufficient – though any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!
A very warm hello from BTQ! It’s been too long since we’ve shared news of studio life… but we’ve been here, waiting for the dust to settle, luckily keeping our doors open throughout the last year and now the space is busy and reenergised once more and we have much news to share…
New Members! The past 15 months has brought much upheaval to many and small businesses have had to re-evaluate and even relocate but this has given others opportunities to take that leap and branch out. BTQ has been able to accommodate that flux and we are very happy to be home to a new cohort of members!
